Tophhie Cloud API
A public API for building on top of what Tophhie Cloud already runs.
The API exposes the parts of Tophhie Cloud that are useful to other people: identity lookups, Apple OS version data, network checks, and read access to the blog and to Tophhie Social. Twenty-odd public endpoints, documented with an OpenAPI 3.1 spec you can point your own tooling at.
It runs on Cloudflare Workers, so it answers from wherever you are calling from. Most endpoints need no key. Requests are limited to 500 every 30 seconds per IP address, and you get a 429 if you go past that, so build in retries.
Requests are logged for operations and analytics: method, path, status, response time, and metadata including IP address, country, user agent and Cloudflare ray ID. Retention follows the privacy policy. Worth knowing before you point anything sensitive at it.
What it does.
Entra ID lookups
Convert an object ID to a SID and back, or pull public tenant information from a tenant ID or any domain registered to it.
Apple OS versions
Query Apple's device management feed for the newest OS a given hardware identifier can run, and whether a supplied version is behind it.
IP and network checks
Look up any address, or call it with no arguments to get details about the address you are calling from.
Tophhie Social data
Repository listings, handle availability, blob storage usage and uptime statistics from the PDS behind Tophhie Social.
Blog and domains
Posts, authors and metadata from the blog, plus the list of domains Tophhie Cloud operates and the policies applied to them.
Small utilities
GUID generation, timestamps in ticks, and a health endpoint worth putting in your own monitoring.
